About
Born into a diverse Caribbean culture with African, Indian, French and Spanish influences, Annalie’s musical journey began at the age of four when she auditioned for a singing role in her church’s Christmas concert. Growing up in Christian based home, her early musical palette would only consist of gospel vocals and harmonies from the likes of Donny McClurkin, CeCe Winans and Kirk Franklin. As she grew older, she began listening to Lauryn Hill, Queen the band, Bob Marley and Kanye West who she credits as her biggest musical influences. She released her first musical project entitled Rebel In Paradise in 2013 and then followed that up with singles Jasmine and Rock and Reggae. From 2015-2017 she partnered with legendary record label Tommy Boy Entertainment to release Guns Of Hysteria, Strong, Another One and Into The Night. Guns Of Hysteria went on to be one of her most successful tracks yet, most notably being featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday and Viral 50 USA charts. On September 4th, she released her debut album, I Think Too Much which she calls an exploration of the mind. Annalie’s music is a mix of her unique vocal tone, thought provoking lyrics, soulful harmonies with Calypso and Folk instrumentation. She states that her main purpose in music is to bring perspective to listeners and to encourage them to live their truth.
